Credit Recovery

For students currently enrolled in or recently out of high school, who only need a few credits to stay on track for graduation, the Adult Education Center offers the Second Chance program.  This program focuses on Credit Recovery efforts, coordinated through a contract with the New Albany/Floyd County Schools.

Courses available are:

-English 9 and 10, English 11 (American Literature), English 12 (English Literature), the Structure of Writing, and World Literature.
-Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Consumer/Business Math
-Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Health, Physical Science, Physics
-American Government, American History, Art History, Economics, Geography, Native American Studies, World History
-Career Information and Exploration, Interdisciplinary Cooperative Education, and Keyboarding

After a course is completed through the Second Chance program, the credit will be applied to the student’s high school record regardless of which high school in the county the student is attending, thus making high school graduation possible.
